The Sisters of Mercy: In Concert at the Royal Albert Hall contains the legendary final performance of the band's classic First and Last and Always lineup. The concert took place on June 18, 1985,   This gig marked the grand finale of an era. Guitarist Gary Marx had already departed mid-tour, leaving the remaining core trio of Andrew Eldritch (vocals), Wayne Hussey (guitar), and Craig Adams (bass)—backed by their trusty drum machine, Doktor Avalanche—to take the stage. Tensions within the group peaked immediately afterward, leading to a permanent fracture; Hussey and Adams left shortly after this show to form The Mission, making this performance a bittersweet piece of gothic rock history.
