Mandatory collection of material, mostly ranging from '78-'80, from this short lived but absolutely crucial SF punk outfit.  Similar to their peers Avengers, No Alternative never released a proper LP in their time, but this posthumous collection of single, comp and unreleased tracks stands as a powerful document of a top rate punk outfit in their prime.  No Alternative bridged a gap of sorts between the 70's stew of new wave and punk and the more hardcore sound that defined the 80's.  The aforementioned Avengers or X operated similarly during this antebellum period, and fans of that melodic, high energy, brand of Californian punk will rejoice hearing this collection of scarce material from one of SF's finest.
